    I am 42 years old and live in the U.S. in Oregon. I have been mysteriously ill for twelve years. My worst problem is chronic, intense headaches, but I also have muscle/joint pain, insomnia, intolerance to many foods, candida infection, progesterone deficiency, anxiety, depression, cognitive problems, and fatigue. No doctors (either MD's or ND's) were able to help me.
    In April I went to another naturopath and was tested for heavy metals and showed high levels of lead and mercury. I went to a biological dentist to have my amalgam fillings replaced and I am undergoing IV chelation treatments and antifungal treatment for the candida. I feel better, but I have a long way to go. The evidence is mounting that mercury can cause these symptoms. I just hope that I am on the right track with this course of treatment. Detoxing can be difficult. Do find a doc with experience in this area.
